The Highland's Inn in Pigg's Peak is a small old style country hotel in a converted colonial house with a block of new bedrooms and bathrooms set in pleasant grounds. Slow service in the restaurant. Provides access to the very scenic Pigg's Peak area at a much lower price than the Orion Hotel. Low rates. Telephone: 437 1144.

Maguga Lodge is a newish upmarket hotel on the banks of the 14 kilometer long Maguga Dam near Piggs Peak. The main building is a large thatched rondavel with an attractive semi-circular veranda overlooking the dam, you can sit and have a drink and watch the light change on the water far below you. Accommodation is in well equipped separate thatched ronadavels in the grounds, they have conference facilities. This hotel is full when school holidays and the fishing season coincide, they have a boat launching ramp and can organize fishing permits for you. Medium to high rates. The Orion Hotel is large luxury hotel and casino with well appointed rooms with superb views from the balconies. The restaurant usually has quite good quality buffets. The hotel suffers from a lack of planning: the restaurant has a view of the rooms, the pool is situated between the restaurant, some passages and a bedroom wing. Sobantu Guest Farm is perched high on a rural mountain slope in some of the finest scenery in Swaziland near Maguga Dam. Well appointed with a pool table and bar. They offer good meals, clean rooms and a wide range of outdoor activities, including canoeing on Maguga Dam. There is tar access to Sobantu, they fetch and deliver from Ngwenya Glass. Phone 605 3954.
