From Johannesburg:

Take N4 highway towards Witbank (Mahlaleni) and Nelspruit. Pass Alzu Petroport (good place to stop for snacks and clean loos), and turn right to Carolina on R33. Through Carolina town, over railway crossing, and turn right towards Amsterdam on R33. At T junction with N17, turn left to Mbabane and Oshoek border (Swaziland). After border crossing, take highway and bypass around Mbabane and down Malagwane hill. At the bottom of the hill, take offramp to MR103 – Ezulwini and Malkerns. There will be signs to “Summerfield”, follow these. Go past Mahlanya market on your left, and Malkerns sign on the right. Pass Sundowners backpackers on your left. Soon after, turn right – MR17 – signed to “Summerfield”, Rosecraft farm and Dwaleni power station.

From Durban:

Take N2 north to Pongola. After crossing Pongola river, turn right to Golela border and Swaziland. This border is open until 10 pm. Go through Big Bend, Manzini and at Matsapha, take sliproad at GALP garage to traffic circle off highway. Turn left onto MR103 towards Malkerns. After 6ks, turn left onto MR17 – towards “Summerfield”, Rosecraft farm and Dwaleni power station.

From Mocambique:

Enter Swaziland through either Lomahasha or Goba borders, and head towards Manzini. Go through Manzini and at Matsapha, take sliproad at GALP garage to traffic circle off highway. Turn left onto MR103 towards Malkerns. After 6ks, turn left onto MR17 – towards “Summerfield”, Rosecraft farm and Dwaleni power station.

From MR17/MR18 junction:

Pass Summerfield on your left, then National Chicks and the road becomes gravel. Pass sign to “Farm Lodge” and after 5ks you will see electrical substation on your right. Immediately after this, is a turn right, with sign to “Rosecraft farm”. After 3ks, you will cross lowlevel bridge over Usutu river. 2ks to a T junction. Turn left to Rosecraft. 2ks at the top of the hill, turn right – sign to Rosecraft. Follow farm road up the hill for 3ks. Go through game gate, and you will reach Wide Horizons lodge, B and B and tented camps.

If you are coming via Ezulwini, the best place to shop for provisions is the Gables shopping centre, on your right in Ezulwini (Woolworths, Clicks, Pick & Pay, bottle store). If you are coming via Manzini, you can do your shopping at the Riverside Mall, which is on your right as you leave Manzini city centre.
