AIRPORT

Swaziland's national airport lies a few kilometers outside the town of Manzini from which it derives its official name, but it is locally known as Matsapha Airport. This can cause confusion and missed planes, so look out for both names.

The Sun International Complex (Casino and two hotels) provides a bus service from the airport to their hotels in Ezulwini Valley. Swazi Trails also offer a pickup service, but you must organise it in advance. Phone 416 2180 as do Taman Tours, phone 416 3370. There are usually taxis, without meters, so establish the fare before setting off. The airport provides minimal facilities, such as a public telephone, waiting areas, customs and immigration offices. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and sandwiches are usually on sale.

A large new international airport is being finished in the lowveld of the country an hour and a half drive from the capital. It is not operational yet.
